pull completion reports, your naming convention becomes a map—not a mystery.
Quizzes that teach, not trick
Place knowledge checks after a student can actually perform the skill—immediately following the walkthrough, not five minutes later after unrelated context. Keep distractors plausible but fair; screencast courses fail when assessments feel disconnected from what was shown.
Two lesson shapes that work
- Walkthrough → practice: show once, then assign a short hands-on with a checklist.
- Concept → example → counterexample: ideal for policy or compliance where nuance matters.
Reduce cognitive load on screen
One idea per chapter card. If you need dense reference material, pair the video with a downloadable PDF or knowledge-base article rather than stuffing the canvas.
Operational rhythm
Batch record weekly, batch edit twice weekly, publish on a fixed cadence. Instructors burn out when every lesson is a bespoke film—systems scale kindness as well as output.
